Buying your Catonsville House with Ellie McIntire

Happy Seller in Catonsville

We interviewed Ellie to sell our home along with interviewing 2 other agents. Ellie's aggressive marketing plan was by far the most superior and intense. We gladly signed with her right away. Not only did she do everything she said she would, but she did so much more as well. She accomodated our schedule, recommended contractors and even met them at our house. Our brochures were amazing, the open houses were frequent and well attended and we had 3 offers within 8 days. We accepted an offer with no contingencies over list price.....and $20,000 over the last house sold on the street that had more upgrades. Thanks to the McIntire team we were on our way to Maine with no worries. We recommend Ellie and her team to EVERYONE.

I'm an action person and was very determined and focused on purchasing a new home. Ellie matched my determination and we got it done very quickly and efficiently. Ellie and her team are true professionals that have all the bases covered. It was easy and I've never been happier!

Home Buyer from Davidsonville, MD

Ellie and her entire team were very professional. They were knowledgeable and very flexible to work with our schedule. Ellie understood what we were looking for and helped us find the right home for us. She helped us find professionals to do all the inspections to give us peace of mind.

Sold a home in 2014

We chose Ellie to list our house during the WORST winter in the history of winters in MD!

No problem though ... from the beginning, she had the plan and vision ... helping us prepare our home to get it in tip top shape to showcase it to it's best potential. Everything her staging person told us to do - we did. Her photographer and videographer (for the virtual tour) were amazing - the videographer should win some type of award since he really caught the essence of what made our home the warm and special place it is. I didn't think that either of them could have done a better job.

There were blocks of days that no one could get down our street to see the house if they wanted to due to storm after storm, but that was not a problem. Ellie scheduled well attended open houses, numerous private appointments, etc. From the date we listed to date the movers came for the furniture, it was just 2 months!

We were off enjoying the sun and fun in our temporary house in FL while house hunting for our new one without a worry about whether or not the MD house would sell in time.

We are closing on our new home on Friday and got a great contract due to the fact we didn't have a contingency (which would never have been accepted) and that our MD closing was signed, sealed and delivered.
We credit a seamless process to Ellie and the McIntire team. Thanks team!!

We found Ellie through Zillow and are so happy with the process of working with her. Ellie and her staff did a fantastic job getting us a home we love and being welcoming to the area - once you work with Ellie you are in her life! Since purchasing our home she continues to assist us with knowledge about local services and getting us in touch with other new families in the area. If we move again we would use her for sure and will be recommending her to everyone one we know looking for a house!

Very glad I found Ellie. She is great. She really knows the business. She created a specialized website for us. She took great pix and videos. And she held open houses every weekend possible. Impressive how much marketing she did. Great agent.

Ellie met with us about six months before we listed our home. She walked through and provided feedback on what we should do to ensure a rapid sale at maximum list price. Prior to going on the market she met with us again and discussed the whole process and even provided a "net" sheet of our expected expenses and revenue. Ellie is very organized, responsive and knowledgeable and has an excellent team to support her. By her proactive marketing, we had two open houses and 18 showings within days of being on the market. As a result we received two excellent contracts within 72 hours; one of which we accepted. If you want your home sold quickly and for top dollar call the Ellie Mcintire Team!

Ellie was amazing in helping my family find a new home. Time and time again it seemed that every home that fit our checklist was taken before we found it. Ellie was not only diligent and resourceful and thanks to her connection to the community found us the perfect home to raise our family

What made her stand out to us was her patience. I'll always remember her telling me "I'm in this for the long haul". That solidified my confidence in her totally.

Ellie walked us through the process step by step and left no detail missed. She was so involved that she quickly went from our agent to a part of the family. Buying a home could not have been this smooth without Ellie on our side. You would be making a big mistake to buy in this area without Ellie McIntire as your agent. Trust me

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Ellie. She was very nice and upfront with us and in addition very knowledgeable of all aspects of real estate. She was able to deliver exactly what we were looking for and in the time frame we needed it. Our communication great as well. She would always respond to her emails right away and always pick up her cell when I called. I have had experience with other agents and would definitely recommend Ellie

Ellie did a great job of finding the right area for me to look for a home. Found my house quickly and the process was only a little painful (have to love that paperwork!)

I cannot comment on the negotiation skills, however. The home was priced fairly, so there wasn't much negotiating (it wasn't needed). I wish they had an N/A option for that one. :)

You will find a house you love if you go with Ellie and her team.

Happy Client!

Ellie has been there for every resident in our community who has called on her for a potential listing. She's honest, attentive and deserves her excellent reputation. So many realtors don't even bother to show in person but send a member of their team instead. Ellie is THERE!

I always recommend her to my friends!

Bought a home in 2013.

My wife and I had a very good experience buying our first home in Ellicott City last October with the help of Ellie. We interviewed Ellie to be our buyer's agent because of her positive online reviews and we are happy that we worked with her.

Ellie was very knowledgeable about the Howard County market (we were looking at Columbia and Ellicott City). She was easy to talk to but also very honest and forthcoming in her opinions about different homes, which was very helpful for us as first time buyers.

When we found the home we ended up buying, Ellie helped us place a winning offer that was $10000 lower than what we were willing to pay. She also helped us find a home inspector and a loan officer (but did not push us to choose either one). Ellie responded quickly to our calls and emails throughout the whole process. If we decide to move or sell our home in the future, we would definitely work with her again.

Very attentive and upbeat. Contacted us frequently with new listings and plans for the next weekend's viewings. Because of one of Ellie's connections we were able to view and eventually buy a great house before it went on the market. Highly recommended!

Ellie is the best if you you want to buy/sell a property in Catonsville/Elllicott city area. Her knowledge about the area is immense and she specifically caters to your needs. She will pretty much find what you need for how you need.

Callie Woolfolk - Bought a home in 2013.

My husband and I actually found Ellie through reviews on Zillow. We contacted her while we were still living out of state in Arizona, prior to our move here to Howard County. When I called her the first time, she picked up right away, and spent a good amount of time that initial phone call, just learning about our needs and when we'd be arriving in the area. When we finally arrived in Maryland and we met with her for the first time, she was so nice and answered any and all questions we had. Being that we were first-time homebuyers, we had a lot! She was always great answering e-mails, text messages, phone calls, etc., It took us a little while to find our home, but Ellie was patient (with us and the market), and never stopped looking until we found the perfect home... She is awesome!

Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $300K in Baltimore, MD.

My wife and I had an awesome experience with Ellie and team. We were looking for our first home in the Baltimore area, with very little local knowledge. Ellie took time to understand our desires, and highlighted several neighborhoods accordingly. She really knows a lot about the area - good neighborhoods, good schools, things to do, etc. When it came time to start visiting properties, Ellie was eager to find good matches based on our criteria. She setup auto-searches, as it seems most realtors do — but she really went above and beyond by personally scanning homes for us in the background. Ellie genuinely enjoys what she does, she’s good at it, and we always felt that she had our interests in mind. During negotiations and procedural items, Ellie stepped us through, happy to answer any questions (being our first time, there were lots!). Ellie successfully negotiated a great deal for us, and we couldn’t be happier. Ellie is the total realtor package: knowledgeable, proactive, responsive, passionate, a tough negotiator. Throughout the whole process, we felt that we had a close friend helping us find a home.

Ellie McIntire helped us buy our home in Ellicott City, MD. We needed to find an agent that could help us as we moved from out of state. I was very impressed at how knowlegeable she was with the area. She helped us find the right home in the right neighborhood because she listened to our needs. She quickly found out how much good schools and nice neighbors ment to us. She was eager to help us find the perfect house. We are very lucky we found Ellie because she worked hard for us and are very happy in our home, Thanks Ellie.

I am grateful to Ellie for finding me a house and helping me every step of the way. I was not able to find a house with another agent for more than a year. With the other agent many houses were sold before I even had a chance to look at them or sold the day after I toured them. I switched to Ellie and she was able to find me a house within 6 weeks. The house I purchased had not been placed on the market yet and without her assistance I would not have found it. She helped me negotiate an offer, and made all the arrangements at the speed of light. She and her team made everything easy for me since I had no idea what I was doing. This was my first home purchase. Everything worked out smoothly.

Bought a Catonsville home in 2013

My fiance and I were first time home-buyers, and I must say that Ellie and her Team were perfect for us! I was looking for someone with good knowledge of the Catonsville area, as well as a high level of responsiveness. Ellie & her team met all of my expectations. She was always flexible when we were setting up appointments to view the homes. Most importantly, she truly listened to what we wanted in our home (location, school district, back yard, etc), and helped us find the perfect home! She was always quick to point out the good and bad in each house, and was very honest, which is incredibly important since I was completely new at this process. I felt extremely comfortable with her and her team, and I will always be appreciative or her assistance!

Bought a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $300K in Columbia, MD.

Our experience with Ellie McIntire and her team was exceptional! I found Ellie on the internet. I read many of the reviews about her and thought let me see if these are really true. From the moment she answered the phone I knew she was the right Realtor for us. So my husband and I discussed our wants/likes and most importantly our needed school boundary. We began our search around January and we closed on our new house the beginning of April. Even though the purchase happened quickly it wasnt entirely a stress free experience to say the least. However, Ellie and her team were by our side to offer guidance and assistance every step of the way. One example of Ellie's outstanding customer service was at closing. The owner was not present but did sign all the necesssary documents and sent them via fedex. But, the notory did not sign the documents after he/she applied his/her stamp. Therefore, the paperwork was considered incomplete. However, Ellie immediately stepped in and found a notory in the area the owner now lived (which was out of state and more than 3 hours away). Thank you to Ellie and her team my family and I are enjoying our wonderful new community.

Ellie is the best of all agents in this area. She is extremely knowledgeable and helped us find the best home for us. She helped point out things that were not properly done in home or things that we done carelessly. I would never trust anyone else in helping us purchase a home. Not only was she knowledgable, she responds very quickly, and stands behind her word and the people around her. She is the best!

We met Ellie at and open house and were impressed with her knowledge and enthusiasm about the local area. The house she was showing was too small for us, but we contacted her about looking at other properties. She was very helpful and showed us a number of properties without being too pushy. We liked her openness when discussing pros/cons of properties and she and her team were very helpful through the negotiation/purchasing process. I'd highly recommend her and her team when buying a property in the Catonsville/Ellicot City area.

Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $450K in Laurel, MD.

We were referred to Ellie by very good friends who had worked with her to buy their new home. They said she was personable, knowledgeable and a very strong negotiator and worked very hard to get them the best deal possible. We now also agree. The process was painless and enjoyable. Ellie was entertaining to view homes with and was very patient with our wants and desires. We also want to add that she was efficient and always communicated effectively despite us being very needy buyers. It was a pleasure to work with her and we are very comfortable referring her to other friends that we have.

Dash Leekha - Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $500K in Columbia, MD.

Ellie made sure our house hunting experience was pleasurable, stress free, and streamlined. She had extensive local knowledge about the Columbia area, made sure she focused on what mattered to us (schools and accessibility) even while doing the initial online search, and streamlined the approach so that we would not have to go to a lot of houses to select the one we liked. She was also very forthcoming about what she liked/disliked about the houses, pointed out to us some aspects that we would have totally overlooked while thinking about a house (e.g. second floor laundry room - a godsend, a trash compactor - very useful, etc.), and also recommended some great support staff required for house purchasing (inspector, title agent, etc.) whose service was impeccable. Thank you, Ellie! And we love our house.

Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $300K in Baltimore, MD.

Ellie was extremely helpful and understanding during a time when I really didn't WANT to sell my house. She kept me up-to-date on homes for sale in the area and gently pushed me to get it on the market at the best time. I felt I could trust her suggestions and decisions during the process. She carefully explained and re-explained things as necessary and I felt I completely understood all steps and phases of the sale.

Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $425K in Columbia, MD.

Ellie is a fantastic realtor. She was extremely helpful from the first time I spoke to her on the phone. She knows her business and her guidance in getting my house ready for market was indispensable. When I did have the house ready she was on the ball and wasted no time in promoting and presenting the home in the best and most innovative ways possible. If I recall, the house hit the market on Wednesday and I had a solid full price offer resulting in a contract and sale by Saturday noon.

She is on top of all the latest social media technologies and uses them to great effect to present her clients’ homes to the full audience of prospective buyers. She also makes great use of these technologies to streamline the documentation, negotiation and sale process. All the documentation and forms were done online from the comfort of my office or home on my schedule. I never once had to go out of my way to make time to drive to her office or meet somewhere to fill out or sign forms; in fact I have never even been to her office. Even settlement was painless though I did have to schedule a visit to the title company.

All in all, I couldn’t be happier with Ellie’s representation. As a realtor Ellie is the consummate professional and as she told me herself, she loves what she does and this is what she does fulltime. From my experience I can say she is one of the best if not the best real estate agent in the Howard County.

Catonsville Short Sale Buyers Agent - Ellie Mcintire & The McIntire Team

Sold a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $250K in Westminster, MD.

We had a wonderful experience selling our home with Ellie McIntire. We started as a "For Sale By Owner", but enlisted Ellie's services after about a month. We'd recommend to anyone in that situation to let Ellie take over (we were so happy that we did!) She listed our home on a Wednesday, and we had two offers by Saturday. She was able to guide us during every step of the process, and made recommendations during the negotiation that saved us hundreds of dollars. Ellie knows her stuff!

Sold a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $400K in Ellicott City, MD.

I would like to say that Ellie and her team were the key to my success in selling my townhouse in the heart of Ellicott City. I had been under water for a few years and reached out to Ellie based on her reviews in assisting customers with short sales. Once she visited my property, she insisted we list above the price I had purchased it for several years prior. We literally had a cash offer less than a week after putting it on the market. Ellie had some difficult negoitiations after that, as the buyer was an experienced real estate purchaser and a lawyer as well. Ellie was the reason it all came together successfully. I was able to get a price just below what I paid several years ago. In this market, that was a tremendous feat. As we know, timing is everything, but you need a formidable agent on your side to make terrific results happen. Ellie McIntire is that agent. I recommend her wholeheartedly.

James and Karat - Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $300K in Baltimore, MD.

My fiance and I worked with Ellie to find a home in the Howard County or Catonsville area. We were first time home buyers and Ellie walked us through from beginning to end. We started looking 6 months before we planned to move and she showed us dozens of homes over several months to help us find what we wanted. She was very knowledgeable about the neighborhoods and the features of the homes that we saw. When it came to making an offer on our home she was able to move extremely quickly in order to beat a slower competing offer. She and her team completed all the paperwork and made the home buying process easy. We got a great deal on a house we love and we have Ellie to thank!

Ellie was wonderful. We were moving to the area and had to find a house and close the deal in 3 days. We did it because of her. She negotiated the best deal ever for us, lined up all the mortgage process, we got a great rate and finished it all up in 3 days. Can't recommend her enough. We've bought and sold house through our moved a few times, and Ellie has been the best real estate agent ever.

Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $350K in Elkridge, MD.

We picked Ellie because she had great reviews on Zillow and it was the best decision we have ever made! We were first time home buyers and had no clue on where to start or what to look for. Ellie took the time to help us out by providing us information, setting up automated emails with new listings, and providing personal feedback on areas. It didn't take long before we saw the house that we wanted, and it was actually the first home we looked at! The next day Ellie and her co-worker John gathered all of the documents and I signed them electronically! The following day the offer was given to the seller and we eventually settled. Throughout the whole process Ellie and John were very helpful giving suggestions, thoughts, and opinions. Since everything was done electronically it was easy to move through all the steps. When it came time to sign the contract, Ellie was able to view my laptop remotely and walk be through each step that I was signing. We highly recommend Ellie and John and would use them again when we sell/buy our next home down the road.

Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $475K in Ellicott City, MD.

We attended a "How to buy a short sale" class that Ellie McIntire was teaching. She was unbelievably knowledgeable about the process and realistic expectations of a buyer. We decided that we wanted her to help us buy a short sale in the Ellicott City area. She had a wealth of information about the schools and we liked her instantly.

We looked at about 6 short sale listings. Prior to seeing any of the homes Ellie spent a lot of time on the phone qualifying the listing agent and the seller to make sure they knew what they were doing and that the seller was motivated.

Once we found our dream home Ellie negotiated our offer and helped the process along. We settled in less than a month.

Ellie's team were incredible. Always attentive, responsive and available. We recommend Ellie's services to all of our friends.

I relocated from Southern California, spoke with Ellie while driving to MD; by the time we arrived in Maryland, she already had a list of homes that matched our criteria PERFECTLY.

She was sympathetic to my family not moving out for a few months and even invited me over to dinner with her family and friends on several instances. I consider her the best realtor I have ever worked with and now I also consider her a great friend.

If you are looking for a realtor, words cannot say how knowledgeable she is about the area, how honest she is about what will work and why, and how persistent she is in getting what you want; treating your needs like her own.

I highly recommend her to anyone!

Ellie McIntire is the most professional and personable realtor that I have had the pleasure of working with in the area and in New Jersey! Ellie is extremely responsive and uses technology such as texting and email to keep in contact with her clients. This allowed my husband and I to be in contact when we needed an immediate response. The overall process of buying a house was simplified with completing contracts online. This service allowed us to complete the process with great speed; there was not a great deal of time swapping contracts and travel back and forth. Ellie was very knowledgeable when it came to Columbia, MD and our need for the quirkiness. Her knowledge helped us to quickly decide on our dream home. On top of that, she's a lot of fun to work with during the process. Excellent sense of humor, and pulls no punches when it comes to advice.

Sold a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $175K in Baltimore, MD.

We can not talk enough about how amazing Ellie McIntire was in the process of selling our home. We were referred to her by a very good friend who was so impressed by her amazing services that we did not interview other real estate agents. At our first meeting she told us what our house would sell for and what to anticipate. She paid for a staging consultation that was incredibly helpful in making our house look spectacular. We worked hard to get the house ready and even before the home went on the MLS Ellie started to market our home. On the first day we had 3 showings and the Open House waa mobbed. Ellie had balloons and many signs in the area. We had 4 offers by day 7 and they were all great. Ellie explained the pro's and con's of all the offers and although we took one that was slightly less money, it had better conditions. We closed with no inspections and appraisal in 26 days for over list price. YOU BET WE WERE HAPPY. After the transaction and to this day Ellie has made us feel very special even though we won't personally use her services for many years. She is a true professional and goes beyond your expectations in service.

Ellie is more than just a real estate agent. She is part of what makes our community so special. Buying a house with Ellie was a wonderful experience but it didn't end there. We have become part of her extended family through events like the annual Easter egg hunt, which our kids love, and the Sugar Baker's Thanksgiving Pie Day. We have now started our own tradition of giving Sugar Baker's pies during the holidays. As I am writing this review, I am eating a piece of my "house anniversary" Godiva chocolate, courtesy of Ellie! All of the perks are great, really, and fun and friendly. But the bottom line is that Ellie is a high energy, caring professional who is going to take care of you and help you get a home for your family . . . and that is what really counts.

Bought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $425K in Baltimore, MD.

What impressed me the most about working with Ellie was her "whole team" approach. Buying a house is already enough work, especially on top of a job, a commute and a family. The last thing I needed was to spend a bunch of additional time finding all the associated professionals you need to complete the transaction. Ellie provided everyone we needed - lender, inspector, title company, home warranty company - everyone. Each was top notch, did a great job and helped us get to where we need to go. We have been in the house a year now and love it. can't think of thing about the process I would have improved. If you want complete, professional results with the minimum of extra work possible, hire Ellie.

Sold a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $875K in Clarksville, MD.

The bottom line: Ellie helped sell our previous house and get us into our new dream home within 3 months. In a sluggish market, that's quite a feat.

The sell of our previous house: Ellie and her team were very effective in marketing our house. Her advice was right on. She provided thoughtful answers to all our inquiries, conducted research to substantiate her recommendations, and reacted swiftly to our requests. She and her team were by our side at every stage of the process.

The purchase of our new home: Ellie was tireless in showing us potential homes. We visited on the order of thirty houses, some of them multiple times. Ellie offered her opinions, both positive and negative, and frequently pointed out features that we would have missed. She was engaged without being pushy. Ellie was a strong and capable partner in negotiations, and her intelligence served us well.

The closing: We closed on both houses on the same date. We followed Ellie's recommendation with regard to the title company, and could not have been more pleased. The respect she garnered in the real estate community was evident during her interaction with title company staff. Our mortgage broker also complemented Ellie and her team on their thoroughness. The closing for both houses took less than two hours.

General comments: Ellie is quick to adapt to any changes in circumstance. Her commitment to us was clear throughout our interactions.

When I had no option but to "short sale" my home due to a lot of financial issues that we had had, a good friend highly recommended that I call Ellie Mcintire. She picked up the phone right away and I could tell that she would be able to help us. She explained the entire process and how she could help us.

She met with us, she listened to all of our hardship and was incredibly sensitive to our needs and limitations. She personally helped us get the house ready so it would show well. Her lovely partner John took photos and our home looked great on the internet. Due to the fact we did not want all of our naighbors to know what was happening and also upset our children, Ellie suggested that we did not have a sign. It was a perfect solution.

We had a buyer in just a few days, but the offer was weak. Ellie continued to market our home and we then had a full priced offer that the bank agreed to accept. The attorneys office that Ellie uses did an awesome job of communicating with the bank and we had a full approval within 70 days with no further dept to us. We also recieved a nice cash incentive from the bank which helped us a great deal. She held our hand every step of the way.

Just before settlement Ellie's associate helped us find a great rental property too.

We rave to all of our friends about how awesome Ellie was as our Real Estate Agent. She is amazing with short sales- she helped another friend too - and made us feel like A+++ clients. If you need to short sale your Maryland home you MUST call Ellie.

Quite simply, Ellie is fantastic. She helped us buy our very first home and walked us through the process with patience and expertise. Ellie never pressured us but rather empowered us to make the best decision for our family. She was honest and considerate throughout the process, returning our phone calls quickly, answering our questions, and taking a lot of time to personally show us many houses. After we closed on the house, she stayed in touch and helped us to get settled and meet people in our new neighborhood. We would highly recommend Ellie to anyone who is looking to buy a house, especially if they are first-time home buyers and have no idea where to begin!
